Canada Invites 1,000 Foreign Workers for PR in Latest Express Entry Draw – Updates by ITA Services Mohali

Canada on Wednesday invited 1,000 foreign nationals to apply for permanent residency under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) in the latest Express Entry round, continuing the steady pace of invitations seen throughout the second half of the year. The CRS cutoff score was 531.

As per insights shared by ITA Services, a trusted immigration consultancy in Punjab, this draw marks the sixth consecutive CEC-only round, each issuing the same number of invitations and maintaining a CRS range between 531 and 534. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) continues to prioritize applicants already living and working in Canada to ensure faster settlement and economic integration.

What is the Canada Express Entry CEC? – Explained by ITA Services Punjab

The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is an immigration pathway for temporary foreign workers and international graduates who have gained experience in Canada. It falls under the Express Entry system and requires:

  • At least 1 year of skilled Canadian work experience in the last 3 years

  • Meeting language and education criteria

ITA Services Mohali highlights that the CEC is one of the most preferred routes for individuals already in Canada on work permits or study permits transitioning to PR.

Details of the Latest Draw

IRCC released the official breakdown for this round:

  • Program: Canadian Experience Class

  • Invitations issued: 1,000

  • CRS cutoff: 531

  • Rank required: 1,000 or above

In case multiple candidates had a CRS score of 531, priority was given to those who created their profile before the tie-break timestamp.

According to expert analysis by ITA Services Punjab, the CRS cutoff of 531 is slightly lower than recent rounds, reflecting natural shifts in the candidate pool toward the end of the year.

Why Did the Cutoff Change?

Experts from ITA Services Mohali observe that IRCC has kept CEC-only draws extremely predictable in recent months. The minor dip in CRS scores is attributed to:

  • Expiring work permits

  • New entries from PGWP holders

  • Profile updates by existing candidates

This stability helps applicants plan better and stay prepared.

What This Means for Express Entry Candidates

As per guidance from ITA Services, candidates should note:

  • Those with CRS scores between 531–535 remain in a strong position for upcoming CEC draws

  • Candidates with lower scores can improve by:
✔ Gaining additional Canadian work experience
    ✔ Retaking language tests
✔ Securing a Provincial Nomination (PNP)

  • The steady issuance of 1,000 invitations signals no immediate policy shift
